Car park collision leads to £4,200 settlement for client

Our client was the driver of a stationary vehicle in a car park. The car was fitted with a headrest and airbags, and our client was wearing a seatbelt. Despite these safety measures, the vehicle was struck head-on by another car. Although airbags were present, they did not deploy during the collision.

The impact was significant enough that our client does not recall their exact movements immediately after the crash. However, they were able to exit the vehicle unaided. Unfortunately, the car was written off following the accident.

Two days after the accident, our client attended their GP surgery and was prescribed Tramadol and Naproxen for pain relief. They required two weeks off work and remain restricted to light duties.

Medical evidence confirmed that the injuries sustained were soft tissue injuries to the neck and right shoulder, causing pain and stiffness. Both injuries were directly attributable to the accident. Physiotherapy was recommended, and the prognosis indicated full recovery within six months of the incident.

Settlement

After gathering medical evidence and negotiating with the insurer, we secured a settlement of £4,200 for our client. This amount reflected the pain, suffering, and inconvenience caused by the accident, as well as the impact on their ability to work.
