Catriona attended a local tattooing studio to have dermal piercing stones inserted in her arm. Unfortunately, the piercing operation was carried out negligently, resulting in injury and residual scarring.
How we helped
We notified a claim to the tattooing studio. However, they did not respond.
We instructed reports from a tattooing and piercing expert to determine the prospects of liability. We also obtained a report from a plastic surgeon in relation to our client’s injuries sustained.
In order to prevent Catriona’s claim time barring, we had to raise court proceedings at very short notice. The court action was defended and we therefore progressed the court action and obtained a judgement in favour of Catriona.
Outcome
A judgement was obtained, the total value of which was £7,000.
