On the day of the accident, our client was driving along a road in Edinburgh when a third-party driver, who was travelling in the opposite direction, proceeded to pull into the junction and in doing so has pulled out in front of our client’s vehicle.
As a result of the incident our client suffered an injury to his neck and lumbar spine. He required physiotherapy treatment to assist with his recovery. He ultimately recovered from his symptoms within a period of three to four months, with the assistance of physiotherapy treatment.
How we helped our client
We intimated a claim to the third-party insurers. They accepted liability and made a pre-medical offer. The pre-medical offer was not accepted and following our client undergoing physiotherapy treatment, we obtained an updated medical report and we negotiated a settlement on his behalf. The initial offer was unreasonable and did not reimburse all of our client’s losses as a result of the incident. We managed to negotiate an increased settlement on our client’s behalf.
Settlement
After negotiations an offer of £2025 was accepted.
