We acted on behalf of our client who was a taxi driver involved in a road traffic accident.
A motorcyclist collided with the vehicle positioned in front of our client’s vehicle and thereafter collided with our client’s own vehicle.
Unfortunately, the motorcyclist died at the scene.
It later transpired that our client was acquainted with the deceased and this caused our client significant psychiatric harm. He has been unable to drive a taxi since the date of the accident.
How we helped our client
As a result of the accident, our client sustained a soft tissue neck injury which lasted 12 months from the date of the accident and required physiotherapy as a result.
As well as being able to claim compensation for our client’s injuries we were also able to include a claim for his past and future treatment costs and also a claim for his insurance policy excess.
Settlement
A a settlement of £12,000 was obtained for our client in respect of all heads of claim.
