We helped secure compensation for a client who was injured in a traffic accident whilst his car was stationary at a pedestrian crossing

Our client was stationary at a pedestrian crossing waiting for the all clear to continue driving. There was a vehicle situated directly behind him when a third party suddenly crashed into the car behind our client’s causing it to collide into the rear of his vehicle.

How we helped our client

We intimated the claim against the third party’s insurers and soon after liability was admitted. We obtained medical evidence supporting the extent of our client’s injuries from the accident. He suffered an injured shoulder, neck and back as well as psychological injuries. We arranged for our client to receive physiotherapy to alleviate his symptoms.

Due to the ongoing psychological injuries, we had our client examined by a psychiatrist, who diagnosed him with a mild post traumatic stress disorder. The psychologist recommended he be referred for cognitive behavioural therapy to help with his recovery and we arranged this on his behalf.

We then forwarded the medical evidence, including wage loss information to the third party insurers. An offer of settlement was received in the sum of £8,000 for the injuries alone, along with reimbursement of loss of earnings.

Our experienced personal injury team has years of experience in handling all types of road traffic accidents, including those abroad, so get in touch if you would like to discuss a claim.
