Circumstances of accident
Austen was working on a building site on the day of the accident. Due to the site being unsafe to work on, he sustained a knee injury.
How We Helped Austen
We notified a claim to the principal contractor responsible for the safety of the site. Their insurers denied liability. We thereafter raised a court action on behalf of Austen. We argued that in terms of the Construction (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1996 that the principal contractor was absolutely liable for the hazardous condition of the site. We instructed various medical reports, and we also instructed Counsel (Barrister) on Austen’s behalf.
We then negotiated a settlement, the updated value of which is approximately £90,000.
Testimonial
Austen said “I was happy with the way Lindsays dealt with my claim and with the compensation that I received.”
