Circumstances of accident
Austen was working on a building site when he suffered a knee injury because the condition of the site was unsafe.
How we helped Austen
We notified a claim to the principal contractor responsible for the safety of the site. Their insurers denied liability. We raised court proceedings on behalf of Austen. We argued that in terms of the Construction (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1996 that the principal contractor was absolutely liable for the hazardous condition of the site. We instructed various medical reports. We instructed Counsel (Barrister) on Austen’s behalf. We then negotiated a settlement, the updated value of which is approximately £90,000.
