Rebecca was injured when another vehicle failed to give way and crashed into her car
On the day of the accident, Rebecca was driving her vehicle at a retail park in Edinburgh. When she was reversing, another car failed to stop at a give way and collided with her vehicle.
How we helped Rebecca
We intimated the claim upon the third party insurers but they initially denied liability and advised that they were carrying out further investigations.
Despite following-up with them on several occasions, they did not provide an update and the time limit for doing so expired. Our only option was to raise Court proceedings to progress Rebecca’s claim.
We recovered a copy of Rebecca’s medical records and arranged for her to be examined by a medical expert for the purposes of a report.
Rebecca sustained a soft tissue injury to her neck and right shoulder, and she had to attend hospital for physiotherapy treatment. She also suffered from psychological symptoms for which she now requires therapy.
Prior to the case proceeding to trial, the defenders solicitors put forward an offer of £7,000 for settlement which Rebecca accepted.
I would just like to thank you for all your support and the help you have gave me over this time. I felt great confidence in your work by being fully informed throughout this process and you made a stressful time a lot easier.
