Jim suffered from noise induced hearing loss at a relatively young age
Following exposure to excessive noise during his employment in road maintenance, Jim now suffers from noise induced hearing loss (NIHL).
Whilst working as a road worker repairing potholes, Jim contracted NIHL at a relatively young age as a result of being exposed to excessive noise. He had no family history of hearing loss nor did any member of his family require a hearing aid. In his 50's Jim required to wear a hearing aid, he was embarrassed and struggled to hear people speak to him.
How we helped Jim
Solicitor Jonathan Cornwell and our Industrial Disease team helped Jim raise a court action against the Council and negotiated a settlement of £10,700.
I was very impressed by the service offered by Jonathan and his colleagues at Lindsays. They regularly updated me and I never had to contact them. I was delighted with the compensation that I was awarded. I received a five figure sum which was more than five times the original offer made by the Council. I would recommend Lindsays to anyone who has been injured and wants great service in the knowledge that they will fight to secure the most compensation.
