When Valerie was injured after falling in a pothole our lawyers successfully settled her claim against a Council
Valerie was making her way to a pharmacy through a car park when suddenly she fell in a pothole and suffered an injury to her knee.
We claimed against the Council responsible on Valerie’s behalf contending that they were in breach of their duties as occupiers of the car park.
The claims handlers for the Council denied liability. They stated that they had a reactive system in place and that they had not been advised of the pothole before Valerie’s accident.
After they denied responsibility we gathered witness and expert medical evidence supporting Valerie’s claim. And after this had been obtained we raised court proceedings. The solicitors for the Council soon made an offer of settlement, which was accepted before going to trial.
I would like to thank both Lauren and Sarah-Jane for all their hard work and assistance. They always kept me informed and showed a very professional, yet extremely caring manner, which made the entire process so much less stressful for me. I really appreciate this and I’m extremely grateful for the way in which they both work.
