Our client was involved in a road traffic accident in Dundee. Our client was stationary at a set of traffic lights when suddenly and without warning a third party vehicle emerged from a junction at high speed and collided with the rear of our client’s vehicle.
We instructed an independent GP to assess his injuries and given he was unable to work as a result of his accident-related injuries we ingathered his loss of earnings information.
Liability was admitted and so the medical report and wage loss details were provided to the third-party insurers who initially came back with an offer of £2,500.
We advised the client that this was on the low scale and recommended that we negotiate further. We managed to secure an increased offer of nearly £1,000 more than the original offer which reflected the value of the loss and injury sustained by our client.
