ABOUT JAMIE

Jamie is an Associate in our Personal Injury team based in Edinburgh. He has experience of litigating matters for pursuers in the Sheriff Courts, All Scotland Personal Injury Court, and the Court of Session.

He has exposure to working on complex litigation and catastrophic injury claims. He enjoys spending time getting to know his clients with a view to providing tailored advice which effectively meets their needs.

Jamie is a Member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), the Scottish Young Lawyers Association, and an Affiliate Member of the WS Society.

Highlights

Obtained £100,000 of damages for a dental negligence client who developed FND.
Successfully represented a client at Proof (hearing on evidence) to recover a five-figure sum in connection with a road traffic accident. This included discrediting the insurer’s independent witness.
Obtained £40,000 of damages for a client who suffered injuries as a passenger travelling in an at fault vehicle.
Obtained just under £40,000 of damages for a client injured at work following a repetitive strain injury.
Acted for the victim of negligence cosmetic surgery which resulted in breathing difficulties to recover damages just under £30,000.
Obtained £6,000 worth of private treatment for a client in a £25,000 claim for an RTA passenger.
Obtained £200,000 in damages for a family in connection with the death of their baby.
